We believe that your writing belongs to you. Unlike many other writing assistants, our architecture is designed to be Privacy-First. We minimize data collection and do not store your text content longer than necessary to generate corrections.

No Training: We do not use your text to train our AI models or third-party AI models.
No Long-Term Storage: Your text is processed in real-time and deleted from our systems immediately after the grammar check is complete.
Secure Payments: We do not see or store your credit card details. Payments are handled by Paddle (UK), our Merchant of Record.
Authentication: We use Google Sign-In exclusively. We never handle or store your passwords.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only the minimum amount of data required to provide the Service.
1.1. User Content (Ephemeral Processing)
When you use our Service to check text:
Input: The text you submit for checking.
Output: The corrections suggestions we return to you.
Storage Policy: This data is processed in temporary memory (RAM) and transmitted securely to our AI providers. We do not save, archive, or store your Input or Output in our databases. Once the result is delivered to your browser, the data is purged from our systems.
1.2. Account Information
We use Google Sign-In for authentication. We do not create separate passwords for our Service. From Google, we receive only:
Your email address.
Your name and profile picture (standard profile information).
A unique authentication token.
1.3. Payment Information
We use Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record.
What we see: Subscription status (Active/Cancelled), plan type, renewal date, and billing country.
What we DO NOT see: Your full credit card number, CVC, or bank details. This data is processed entirely by Paddle’s secure, PCI-compliant infrastructure.
1.4. Technical Usage Data
To maintain Service stability, we automatically collect anonymous technical logs:
IP address (stored temporarily for security and abuse prevention).
Browser type and version.
Timestamp of usage.
Aggregated metrics (e.g., "1,000 words checked") without linking them to specific text content.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

3. AI SUB-PROCESSORS & DATA SHARING
To provide high-quality grammar checking, we share data with trusted third-party service providers ("Sub-processors"). We have selected partners who offer Enterprise-grade security.
3.1. Artificial Intelligence Providers
We use API services from top-tier AI providers to process your text. While our primary providers include OpenAI (USA), we may also utilize other comparable global providers (e.g., Anthropic, Google) or authorized hosting providers (e.g., Groq, Together AI) to ensure the best possible results.
Strict Vetting: We only partner with providers that offer Enterprise-level privacy commitments, specifically ensuring that your data is not used to train their public models.
Retention: Data is retained by these providers solely for abuse monitoring for a limited period (typically 30 days or less) and then deleted.
3.2. Hosting & Infrastructure
Google Cloud Platform (Global): Our servers and databases are hosted on GCP. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
3.3. Payments
Paddle.com Market Ltd (UK/Global): Handles all billing, invoicing, and tax compliance (VAT/Sales Tax) globally.
4. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
GrammarChecker.me is based in Kazakhstan. However, our infrastructure and partners are global.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to:
The United States (for AI processing and hosting).
The United Kingdom/EU (for payment processing via Paddle).
We ensure these transfers are protected by standard industry encryption (TLS 1.2/1.3). For users in the EEA/UK, we rely on our partners' compliance with international data protection frameworks (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.
5. DATA RETENTION
Text Content: Deleted immediately after processing.
Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our active databases immediately (backups are purged within 30 days).
Payment Records: Transaction history is retained by Paddle (and referenced by us) for tax compliance periods required by law (typically 5-7 years).
